The Bean Thumblatch - Heavy is a traditional thumb latch set designed for ledged, braced or plank doors. It features a decorative thumb-shaped lever which operates a through-running thumb bar to lift the latch on the opposite face and allow the door to open.These thumblatches are made by blacksmith methods from mild steel, hammered into shape on an anvil and finished in a choice of Beeswax, Black or Pewter Patina.
