From The Anvil Gothic Thumblatches

From The Anvil Gothic Thumblatches are traditional thumb latch sets designed for ledge & braced and other plank-style doors. The thumb-shaped lever operates the latch via a bar that passes through the door, lifting the latch on the opposite side to allow the door to open.

Across the range, these blacksmith-made thumblatches are crafted from mild steel using a traditional anvil and fire method, and are typically used in conjunction with a T hinge on traditional plank doors. They are supplied with matching stainless steel wood screws.

Sizes and finish options

Choose between Standard and XL sizes depending on your door thickness requirements. Finish options vary by version, with choices across the range including Beeswax, Black, Pewter Patina and External Beeswax.
