The Gothic Thumblatch - Standard is a traditional thumb latch set intended for ledge-and-braced doors. It has a decorative thumb-shaped lever that, when pressed, operates a thumb bar which passes through the door to lift the latch bar on the opposite face and allow the door to open.These Blacksmith thumblatches are hammered into shape from mild steel using a traditional anvil and fire manufacturing method. They are typically used with a T hinge on traditional plank doors. Maximum door thickness: 55mm.
