About the Finish
Our Aged Brass products are made from solid unlacquered brass, offering an abundance of character and charm. This finish is perfectly suited to period dwellings and will create a statement throughout. Due to the accelerated ageing process this finish undergoes, a darker patina gathers around the edges and recesses to contrast beautifully with the re-polished surface areas.
Our refined Matt Black finish has a distinct contemporary feel. Naturally, it looks great in ultra-modern interiors, but this versatile finish is timeless and will create a sophisticated statement in traditional or more rustic settings too. The Matt Black finish is applied to a base material of solid steel and then baked in a high temperature oven, resulting in a subtle black patina that emphasises the product’s clean silhouette. This finish is extremely low maintenance and has excellent corrosion resistant properties, making it perfect for use in bathrooms, kitchens or externally where damper environmental conditions are expected.
Our Polished Marine Stainless Steel is grade 316 and manufactured with high concentrations of chromium and nickel. This finish has extremely resilient corrosion resistant properties, exceeding 1000+ hours salt testing. An excellent choice for coastal locations or polluted environments, where a high sheen look is desired. This finish is very versatile and works equally well with warm and cool tones. For complementary products, we recommend our Polished Chrome finish.
Our Satin Marine Stainless Steel is grade 316 and manufactured with high concentrations of chromium and nickel. This finish has extremely resilient corrosion resistant properties, exceeding 1000+ hours salt testing. An excellent choice for coastal locations or polluted environments, where a low sheen, matt look is desired. This finish works very well with cool tones. Care Instructions
This finish will continue to oxidise and age as it is an unlacquered finish, meaning the finish will darken over time. If the product becomes tarnished or too dark, it can be polished on all surface areas to enhance the finish. To restore and brighten the finish, we recommend polishing with a dry cloth or alternatively using our ‘Brasso’ (73102), which assists with the cleaning of solid brass products. Regular oiling of all moving parts using our ‘3-in-1 Oil’ (92337) is beneficial to the longevity of your products & highly recommended during initial installation. An oily cloth can also be used to wipe over the product from time to time to aid protection against exterior or environmental elements.

This is due to surface particulate deposits rather than the stainless steel itself. Specialist stainless steel cleaning products are available to remove tarnishing and soft lint free cloths can be used to apply them. To increase the mechanical life expectancy of your product, we recommend oiling of all moving parts using our ‘3-in-1 Oil’ (92337) periodically and during initial installation.
