📘 FAQs – uPVC & Multipoint Door Handles

❓ What is a multipoint door handle?

It’s a handle designed to operate a multipoint locking system, which secures the door at multiple points (top, middle, bottom) when the handle is lifted and locked.

❓ How do I measure for a replacement handle?

You’ll need two key measurements:

  • PZ (centre to centre) – distance from the spindle (handle) to the keyhole (usually 92mm on uPVC doors)

  • Screw centres – distance between the fixing screws

❓ What's the difference between lever/lever and lever/pad?

  • Lever/lever: same handle on both sides, lifts to lock

  • Lever/pad: internal lever and external pad for added security – pad doesn’t lift the lock from outside

❓ Are your handles compatible with all multipoint locks?

Our handles fit most standard Euro profile multipoint locks, but always check PZ size and screw spacing before ordering.

❓ Do these handles come with a spindle and fixings?

Yes – all sets include spindle bar, screws, and escutcheon plates where needed.

❓ Can I fit these myself?

Yes, with basic tools and measurements. However, a professional installer is recommended if you're unsure about the locking system or alignment.
