The Heritage Brass SQ4043 Square Bathroom Turn & Release is a solid brass privacy accessory designed to operate a bathroom lock. Its square backplate measures 54 x 54 mm and is intended for use alongside a lever handle on square rose, providing the components needed to control a privacy lock from either side of the door.
Bathroom lock function and finish options
This fitting combines a thumbturn with an emergency release. It should be used with a bathroom lock rather than a standard tubular latch or sash lock. Suitable bathroom locks identified for this design are the YKBL2N-AT and YKBL3N-AT, allowing the turn and release to form part of a coordinated privacy-door arrangement.
Finish options include Antique Brass, Matt Bronze, Polished Brass and Satin Brass for warmer colour schemes. Polished Chrome, Satin Chrome and Satin Nickel provide a choice of cooler finishes. Select the version that coordinates with the accompanying square-rose lever handles and other door furniture; finish availability should also be checked across the separate components required for the complete door set.
