Heritage Brass Postal Knocker Letterplate

The Heritage Brass Postal Knocker Letterplate combines a letterplate opening and postal knocker in one coordinated door fitting. Made from solid brass, the design has a traditional silhouette suited to entrances where the letterplate is intended to form a prominent part of the door furniture. Its rectangular backplate provides a defined surround for the aperture and integrated knocker.

Dimensions and finish choices

The backplate measures 254 x 79 mm overall, with a 188 x 43 mm aperture and 219 mm centre-to-centre fixing centres. These measurements are useful when comparing the letterplate with an existing opening and fixing layout. One letterplate is supplied with its fixing screws and fasteners.

Finish options span traditional and more contemporary door furniture schemes. Antique Brass, Matt Bronze, Polished Brass and Satin Brass provide a choice of brass and bronze tones, while Polished Chrome, Satin Chrome and Satin Nickel offer cooler alternatives. Consider the finish alongside other entrance hardware, such as door handles, locks and numerals, when creating a coordinated arrangement. The polished options provide a brighter appearance, while satin and matt finishes offer a more muted surface.
