Heritage Brass York Security 5 Lever Sash Lock

The Heritage Brass York Security 5 Lever Sash Lock is a British Standard mortice sash lock intended to provide security on external doors. It is often used on back doors where no other lock is fitted. The Satin Nickel finish has a subtle sheen suited to both contemporary and heritage-style interiors.

Lock operation and sizing

This sash lock combines two functions in one case. A key operates the deadbolt for locking, while a door handle operates the latchbolt to hold the door closed when it is unlocked. This distinguishes it from a latch-only lock or a deadlock. For a new door, it should be paired with a suitable lever lock door handle.

This version is listed at 2 1/2 inches with a 44mm backset. The backset is an important measurement to check when replacing an existing lock or preparing a new door, as it affects the position of the handle and keyhole. The lock is constructed from steel and metal alloys and supplied in Satin Nickel. Before ordering, compare the stated size and backset with the door preparation and the lever lock furniture you intend to use.
