Heritage Brass York Security 5 Lever Sash Lock

The Heritage Brass York Security 5 Lever Sash Lock is a mortice sash lock intended for external doors. It combines a key-operated deadbolt for locking with a handle-operated latchbolt that holds the door closed when it is not locked. It is often used on back doors where no other lock is fitted.

Size, finish and door handle requirements

This version has a 3-inch lock case and a 57mm backset, so these measurements should be checked against the door and planned handle position before selection. The lock is offered in Polished Brass and is constructed from steel and metal alloys.

A sash lock needs a separate lever lock door handle to operate its latchbolt. This makes it different from a latch-only arrangement, as the key-operated deadbolt provides the locking function. For a new door installation, choose a suitable lever lock handle with the required keyhole format alongside the lock. The 5 lever mechanism, latchbolt and deadbolt make this a combined locking and closing solution rather than a standalone door latch.
