From The Anvil Rim Lock & Cast Iron Cover sets are traditional, surface-mounted door locks supplied with a cast iron cover. Designed to sit on the inside face of the door, a rim lock is a practical way to add classic period-style security without routing a mortice case into the door edge.

Across the range, these rim locks use a 1 lever mechanism and are reversible, so they can be fitted for left- or right-hand opening doors (depending on your layout). The locks are keyed alike (KA), offering a consistent keying arrangement when using multiple locks within the same project.

Finish options across the family include Beeswax, Black, Pewter Patina and Polished Brass (availability varies by option). These rim locks are not insurance rated; if you require an insurance-compliant set-up, it is recommended to use the rim lock alongside a British standard deadlock.
