From The Anvil Cottage Latches are traditional, surface-mounted latches for doors and gates. They’re commonly used internally as an alternative to a thumb latch, and can also be used externally on entrance and side gates. This range is handed, so choosing the correct left- or right-handed version is essential for the way your door or gate opens and where the hinges sit.

Handing, size and finish options

Two handed options are available across the range: left-handed and right-handed. These latches are suitable for door thicknesses up to 70mm (depending on the version selected) and are supplied with matching stainless steel wood screws.

Finish options seen across the family include Beeswax, External Beeswax, Black and Pewter Patina. Finish availability can vary by handed option, so choose your preferred hand first and then select from the finishes offered for that version.
