Intumescent Kits for Heavy-Duty Dead Bolts

These intumescent kits are designed for use with heavy-duty dead bolts and provide added fire protection around the lock preparation. In the event of heat exposure, the intumescent material expands to help improve fire resistance at the point where the dead bolt is fitted.

Across this family, the kits are intended to suit heavy-duty dead bolts in 64mm, 76mm and 102mm sizes, allowing you to select the correct option for the dead bolt you’re protecting. The range is supplied as a single default variant rather than offering decorative finish choices, so selection is based on performance and fit rather than appearance.

Ratings and thickness options

Two specifications are available, depending on the required fire protection period. Both options are described as easy to apply.

• 30-minute protection: 1mm thickness
• 60-minute protection: 2mm thickness
• Application: suitable for 64mm, 76mm and 102mm heavy-duty dead bolts
