Heritage Brass Door Pull Handles

Shop Heritage Brass door pull handles by M. Marcus, made from solid brass for full-size internal and entrance doors. This collection features architectural door furniture rather than small cabinet pulls, with traditional, contemporary and textured designs available in a choice of sizes and coordinating finishes.

Choose from straight and offset forms, round bars, decorative pulls, pull handles on plates and distinctive knurled, hammered and geometric designs. The range includes both single door pulls and back-to-back configurations for fitting a handle to each face of the door.

Solid-Brass Door Pull Handles

A door pull provides a secure handhold for opening or closing a door but does not normally operate a latch or lock. Depending on the application, it may be used with a roller latch, magnetic catch, separate deadlock, cylinder or door closer. Always choose the closing and locking hardware to suit the door, its use and any relevant safety requirements.

Heritage Brass door pull handles range from restrained round-bar and Bauhaus-inspired profiles to substantial traditional, Art Deco and statement designs. Selected products include tactile knurled or hammered detailing, while pull handles on backplates offer a more decorative period appearance.

Choose the Correct Door Pull Configuration

Single Door Pull Handles

A single pull is supplied for one face of a door. Many designs use bolt-through fixings, with bolts passing through the door for a secure installation and matching covers concealing the visible bolt heads on the opposite face. Other fixing arrangements are available, so check what is included with the individual product.

Back-to-Back Door Pull Handles

A back-to-back set places a pull handle on both sides of the door, connected through the door by shared fixings. This creates a coordinated appearance and a handhold from either direction. Check the stated door-thickness range before ordering to ensure the supplied fixings are suitable.

Straight, Offset and Pull-on-Plate Designs

Straight pull handles give a balanced, symmetrical look. Offset pulls position the gripping section away from the fixing line and may provide useful clearance in some installations. Pull handles on plates combine the grip with a larger backplate for added visual presence and a more traditional character.

Measure Overall Length and Fixing Centres

Do not select a door pull by overall length alone. The fixing centres, often shown as CTC or centre-to-centre, measure the distance between the centres of the fixing points. This measurement is especially important when replacing an existing pull and reusing drilled holes.

Also check the handle projection, grip diameter or width, base or plate dimensions and available hand clearance. For back-to-back or bolt-through fitting, confirm the door thickness and ensure the fixing position will not interfere with glazing, locks or other hardware inside the door.

Internal and Entrance-Door Applications

Door pull handles can suit entrance, sliding and swing doors as well as selected internal applications. Suitability varies by model and finish. Before using a pull externally, in a coastal location, on a fire door or in a high-traffic commercial setting, check the individual product specification and any maintenance guidance.

Heritage Brass Finishes

Coordinate your door pulls with other Heritage Brass architectural hardware in finishes such as Antique Brass, Polished Brass, Satin Brass, Polished Chrome, Satin Nickel, Matt Bronze and Matt Black. Finish availability varies by design and size, and finishes may develop or require different care over time, so follow the maintenance guidance supplied with your chosen product.
