The Monkeytail Espag - Right Handed in Beeswax finish offers a traditional design combined with the benefits of a modern and secure configuration. Due to their slim fixing plates, these espagnolettes can be fitted on any type of window, including uPVC and timber. They are designed to match the products in our Monkeytail range.
For ease of use, this handle is hinged, which ensures it can be lifted away from the window. These espagnolettes are handed, so it's important to make sure you choose the correct hand. From the inside looking out, if your window is hinged on the right-hand side, then a right-hand fastener is required and vice versa.

About the Finish
Beeswax is our most authentic finish for steel. After forging, these products are dipped into hot beeswax which allows them to retain their original colours ranging from blue to deep ochre. All our Beeswax ironmongery offers a subtle matt richness and is a more natural, and far softer, alternative to a black powder coated finish. These products offer excellent internal protection when properly maintained.
Our Black finish is a popular choice in traditional settings. Its subtle sheen offers a bold contrast on stained and painted timber alike. During the manufacturing process, our Black products are baked in a high-temperature oven, giving them durable, corrosion-resistant qualities.
Our Pewter Patina products are forged from a durable base of steel and boast a rich, luxurious appearance. Our manufacturing techniques create contrasting textures on the surface of the metal to create a rich appearance with an abundance of charm. This finish sits well in characterful, rustic homes, but also works as a contemporary alternative in more modern settings.
Care Instructions
Please note that where possible we would recommend using our External Beeswax in areas of your property with high moisture content, such as bathrooms or kitchens. Light surface rust may appear if using our standard beeswax in damp internal environments, but this can be removed with ease with 00 grade wire wool and a reapplication of our ‘Maintenance Wax’ (33002). For accompanying external products, we recommend using our external beeswax finish.
