Steel Line Range

Shop the Steel Line range by M. Marcus for stainless-steel door handles, pull handles, hinges and coordinating architectural accessories. Clean tubular forms and practical stainless-steel construction make Steel Line a natural choice for modern homes, offices, apartment developments and selected commercial interiors.

The collection includes lever handles on rose, compact and full-length back-to-back door pulls, T-bar pulls, hinges, bathroom turns, escutcheons, fingerplates, door stops, cylinder pulls, numerals and specialist fixing components in predominantly satin and polished steel finishes.

Stainless-Steel Architectural Hardware

Steel Line focuses on simple shapes, consistent proportions and easily coordinated door furniture. Satin steel offers a softer brushed appearance, while polished steel provides a brighter reflective finish. Selected products are also offered in decorative finishes such as Satin Brass, Antique Brass, Matt Bronze and Matt Black.

Specifications vary across the range. Check whether the individual product is manufactured from 304 or 316 stainless steel, which finish has been applied and whether it is intended for internal, external, residential or commercial use.

Steel Line Door Handles on Rose

Tubular lever handles on round roses create a clean, uncomplicated appearance suited to contemporary doors. The compact rose keeps the area around the lever visually uncluttered and allows locking or bathroom accessories to be positioned separately where required.

For a standard internal door, pair the handles with a compatible tubular latch. Locking doors require the appropriate lock and escutcheons, while bathroom doors normally require a bathroom lock plus a coordinating turn and emergency release. Check the lever dimensions, rose diameter, projection and spindle arrangement before ordering.

Back-to-Back and T-Bar Door Pull Handles

Steel Line door pulls include compact tubular handles as well as substantial T-bar designs for larger doors. A back-to-back pull places one handle on each face of the door, with the two pulls connected through the door by shared fixings. Selected concealed-fixing components are also available separately for compatible tube diameters.

When selecting a pull handle, check the centre-to-centre fixing measurement, overall length, tube diameter, projection and compatible door thickness. Longer pulls create a stronger architectural feature but require accurate preparation and sufficient clearance from glazing, frames, locks and other door furniture.

304 or 316 Stainless Steel?

304 stainless steel is widely used for general architectural hardware and many internal applications. 316 stainless steel offers increased resistance to corrosion and is used on selected Steel Line pull handles. However, material grade alone does not guarantee suitability for every exterior or coastal installation.

Only treat a product as coastal-grade or suitable for a demanding external environment where this is stated in its specification. Correct installation, routine cleaning and maintenance remain important, particularly where hardware is exposed to salt, pollution or harsh weather.

Hinges and Fire-Door Requirements

Steel Line butt hinges are available in different sizes and finishes for coordinating with the visible door furniture. Hinge size, load rating, bearing type, certification and required quantity must be matched to the door and its application.

Do not assume that every stainless-steel hinge is fire-rated. A fire-door assembly requires suitable certified hinges installed in the correct quantity and, where specified, with compatible intumescent hinge packers. Check the certification and installation requirements of the exact hinge before using it on an FD30 or FD60 door.

Coordinating Door Accessories

Complete the door set with matching key escutcheons, thumbturns, emergency releases, disabled turns, fingerplates, cylinder pulls and door stops. Stainless-steel numerals and selected engraved door signs are also available for entrance doors and managed buildings.

Matching the finish is only part of building a compatible set. Confirm the lock or latch type, backset, door thickness, spindle size and fixing arrangement for every component, especially when combining visible furniture with existing mechanisms.
